The Historic Costume Collection is a database of books illustrating historic costume in the collections of the Carnegie Mellon University Libraries. Current contents and future additions to this site are made possible through a generous endowment of Carnegie Mellon alumna, Carol Chaplin, in honor of her mother Margaret Smith Cushing, a 1927 graduate of the Carnegie Mellon costume economics program.
